DayZ Standalone DDoS Protection

Please follow this guide carefully to enhance the protection of your DayZ server and protect it from potential DDoS attacks. It is crucial to adhere to this guide, as any oversights in implementation could lead to your server becoming unresponsive during a DDoS attack. Configuring Firewall Rules, Filters, and Rate Limiters​

  1. Game Port (2302 UDP):

    • Establish DayZ filter for the 2302 UDP port to allow game traffic.

  2. RCON Port (2305 UDP):

    • Add RCON (Battlemetrics & CFTools) filter for RCON Port (2305 UDP).

  3. Steam Query Port (27016 UDP):

    • Implement Source Engine (For Dayz Steam Query Port) filter for the 27016 UDP port to manage Steam query traffic. Make sure you also select DayZSLauncher Whitelist IP list.
